Her proficiency in multi-criteria decision-making and complex problem-solving, complemented by sustainability and ESG expertise, strengthens the Centre’s sustainability and impact focus.

Fazlyn Bhyat-Naidoo

Executive Director & CEO

Over the past 15 years, Fazlyn has volunteered, worked alongside and led NGO teams serving children, families and communities. She believes in leading with empathy and is guided by the spirit of Ubuntu, the belief that we are all connected through our shared humanity. As Executive Director and CEO, she is committed to making therapeutic horse riding accessible to more children. Together with The Earth Centre team, she is dedicated to creating opportunities for children to build confidence, develop new skills and experience growth, connection, and belonging.

Mahlatsi Manyama is an Occupational Therapist and currently serves on the Professional board of HPCSA. He is a healthcare entrepreneur with expertise in disability management, insurance, and healthcare leadership.

Adv Konanani Raligilia is a Senior Lecturer who currently leads the Engaged Scholarship in the Rural Aviation Economy project at UNISA. As a researcher, he has authored several journal articles, opinion pieces in newspapers, developed policies, and book chapters on employment law, human rights, and public international law. He provides policy development, legal, and regulatory expertise to the Board.

Michael Shackleton is Legal Executive of the National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa and is an admitted attorney. He has extensive experience in corporate law, governance, private sector and civil society boards and has served as a public representative in all three spheres of government in South Africa.
